The Queen of England may have to start eating at the “Golden Arches” soon if she doesn’t reign in her spending. She has the British government a bit concerned.
It has been reported that the British Royal family’s savings is down to the equivalent of $1.6 million dollars. Hell the way they live they can spend that much on a good weekend.
Queen Elizabeth’s bankroll has plunge from $58 million to $1.6 million in just a few years.
Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle are falling apart and are very costly to maintain. She is asking the government for the money to put these behemoths back in presentable order and they have refused.
There is a rumor going around the pubs in Lister Square that Prince Phillip has opened his own laundry services to make a few pounds.
Can’t I say that I feel sorry for the old girl that receives an annual government handout from the government of $12.9 million? It sounds impossible that anyone with that amount of an allowance could have lost 57 million dollar plus in a short amount of time. She must be a big tipper.
The Queen is the top land owner in the world owning 6,600 million acres; beating out King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia with a mere 553 million acres, the King Bhumibol of Thailand with 126 million acres, King Mohammed IV of Morocco 113 million acres and the piker of the top 5 is Sultan Quaboos of Oman with 76 million acres.
Her main holdings are in Canada, with 2,467 million acres, Australia with 1,900 million acres, the Papua New Guinea with 114 million acres, New Zealand with 66 million acres and the UK with 60 million acres.
Based on these numbers I can’t see where her majesty is going to be in one of the UK’s soup lines anytime soon.
You can bet one thing for sure; she will always keep a stiff upper lip that most Brits are known for.
If she lives as long as her mother who died at 101, the 87 year old Queen better pace herself. She has got a few years to go and I am sure she wants to live them in the style she is accustom to.
