Part doc – part postal worker

Alabama neurosurgeon walks 6 miles in snow storm to perform brain surgery:

Man among men, humanitarian among humanitarians, doctor among doctors and good guy among good guys.

This is a doctor that should be an example to all of the doctor in the world; he  demonstrated what it meant to take the “Hippocratic Oath” and lives by it.

Dr. Zenko is part doctor and part postal worker. Neither hail, nor sleet nor treacherous roads in Alabama kept this man from his call to duty.

This week when Mother Nature showed her ugly fangs in many around cities the USA and made driving conditions impossible, Dr. Zenko Hrynkiw answered his call to duty in a big way.

He was at Brookwood Medical Center Tuesday morning when he was needed for emergency brain surgery miles away at Trinity Medical Center.

The problem was he could not get more than a few blocks by vehicle because of all the grid lock. He couldn’t call Chris Christie to help him so he did the unthinkable for many doctors; we walked 8 miles in the severe conditions to Trinity Center.

All the while he was walking he kept in touch with the hospital checking on the patient’s condition.

The good Doc finally made it to the hospital; did his scalpel magic and saved the person life.

For that he is given The Goomba Gazette good guy award. I wish him good health so he can save many more peoples lives.
