Super hog wash

Contractor hired to fix Healthcare.gov reportedly has history of problems:

Talk about “adding insult to injury” or “throwing good money after bad” well that is exactly what the Obama administration did AGAIN.

In all fairness, the Obama administration isn’t the first to GIVE AWAY no bid contracts, they just do it better than any other pack of politicians.

They hired a company “without competitive bids”, AGAIN, that is headquarters in Ireland (another foreign company) to the tune of 91 million dollars to try and correct the mess that the first company they hired at the conception of the Un-Affordable Health Care that  screwed it all up.

According to a recent  press release, the new company they GAVE the contract too is the “only company in the world that is capable” of doing the job. I say hog wash to that. Ifffffffff that statement is remotely correct, which I doubt it is, where was that company with the the first GIVE-AWAY ?

Accenture the new company,  hired to fix ongoing problems with the federal health exchange website, has been heavily criticized by some of its largest clients, including federal agencies, according to a published report. I wonder how much they donated to the Obama campaign or if Michele went to grade school with its CEO.

Reports from the U.S. Postal Service Inspector General’s Office recommended this past June stated that the agency consider terminating more than $200 million in contracts with Accenture. The recommendation cited an “absence of business ethics” by the firm, including a 2011 settlement with the Justice Department to resolve allegations of “kickbacks” and “bid-rigging” in federal contracts.

Accenture paid $63 million to resolve the claims, denied the allegations. Naturally that all got swept under the rug in true governmental style.

Accenture’s contract to oversee Healthcare.gov is for one year and worth an estimated $91 million. That is one hell of a pay check to just hand someone.

Quoting some of the experts in their field they say Accenture is “at the top of the stack” in the industry; on the other hand, criticizing experts say that the company does not have any experience in the health field.

Tracker their website at USASpending.gov, it is reported that less than $50 million of Accenture’s $10 billion in federal contracts has involved the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. With a 91 billion contract they have plenty of money to subscribe the new book;

I am very surprised that there cannot be steps taken in our governments way of doing business to circumvent GIVING contracts of this magnitude without giving other companies the opportunity to bid on them.

Naturally we would hear that these contracts had to be “fast-tracked” and did have time to go through the bidding process. I say hog wash to that too!!!!!

The government does not seem to care what the total package is going to cost up front like any responsible organization would, all they ask for is “what is the damage” and they write the check. As I have alluded to before, “it is not their money” and they don’t care.

Would these same people that GIVE out these contracts hire someone to build them a house if they didn’t know what the bottom line was going to be? Hell no.

“Sir your house can cost you anywhere from 250,000.00 to 8 million to build, give or take a few million; does that meet with your approval”? We know what their answer would be.

What kind of refund is the CGI group, the first company that put together the mistake ridden mess they call Obama-Care, going to give back to the government?

This should be another important reason that a “competitive binding contract” is awarded because contracts  should work both ways. Give me a total bid price  and you are responsible to the deliver the end result as agreed upon or you don’t get paid.

This is just another historical example in a long list of taxpayers money where is squandered by the US government that no one is accountable for.

Just like ambassadorships are given out in payment for political donations and favors, so are non-bid contracts.
