“Nothing is more important than jobs and that is what I am here to create when I become President of the United States”. These are the words of then Senator Barrack Obama in 2008. The employment rate is as bad now as or worse than in that time period 6 years ago.
There is no one to blame anymore.
I don’t know what is so difficult to creating work for people. Roosevelt did it in the Great Depression we can do it now. It was called WPA (Works Progress Administration)
Have any of the politicians looked around this country and seen the condition of our highways and streets littered with debris that makes it look like a 3rd world country?
Buy some garbage trucks, some plastic bags, sticks with a nail on the ends and hire 500,000 people to start and begin cleaning up this country. If they do not want to work they are off of government assistance.
We don’t need an act of congress or an executive order to implement this work program. If given enough resources and co-operation it can be done by the right person/people, putting something like this together without all of the red tape of DC and the politicians intervention.
That is a start. Begin paint the building, replacing sidewalks, cleaning up parks, tearing down millions of abandon houses that have turned into crack joints, planting some trees.
Start educating people on how to work for a living instead of how to leach off of the government their entire life.This has turned into a generational thing. “Momma doesn’t work, daddy doesn’t work, why should I work??”
Employ 100’s of 1000’s of people for these jobs instead of squandering our money on wars we don’t belong in and giving other governments handouts, some that are better off financially than the USA is.
They work, they pay taxes, they spend money.
The unemployment situation CAN BE dealt with if someone at the helm knew what they were doing and they were not on the “political take or part of the political system”.
Our government is spending more money trying to extending unemployment benefits than if they worked on creating jobs.
Only 63 percent of working-age Americans have a job or are actively looking for one — the lowest share of the population participating in the labor force since 1978. (The population of working-age Americans here includes anyone over the age of 16, including those who have retired and students).
It is a crying shame that a country with the resources and the potential the United States of America has that it is in the dire condition we are.
Listen to me DC Duds; it is not that hard to create jobs within the government.
Concentrate on the 100’s and the 1000’s and the billions will come.
