CVS the 5 star Pharmacy:

CVS (Customer Valued Services) gets a 5 star rating from me for their customer service and their diligence.

It was not just about the money for CVS as it is in most of the businesses these day but customer service and satisfaction.

Yesterday I dropped off a prescription for some ointment for a skin irritation that a dermatologist recommended I use.

An hour later I received a call from the pharmacy telling me that the prescription would cost $ 175.00. They were not compelled to call me and could have just filled the order as written.

I asked the pharmacist if there was a generic brand that was comparable and she told me she would look into it.

Two hours later I got a message on my answering machine that they did fill the prescription with an equivalent medication that only cost $3.00; $ 172.00 cheaper.

As far as I am concerned CVS went beyond the call of duty to satisfy and accommodate their customer and deserves recognition. For that I give them a 5 star rating and would recommend them to anyone.
