Honda is recalling nearly 900,000 minivans for a defect that could increase fire risk.
Someone has been falling down on the job. They are supposed to be paying their engineers that design the cars for them not to make these errors.
Beside a blemish on Honda’s reputation as one of the top car makers in the world the recall has to cost them a small fortune to recall 900,000 cars.
Even if it only cost 300.00 per car to fix the problem and that is a low estimate, that comes to $270,000,000; that is no chump change regardless how much the company is worth.
Honda and all of the other manufacturers throughout the world should have a slogan hanging in all over their facilities with giant letter reading “GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.”
I will give Honda some credit for addressing their problem instead of trying to cover it up as GM did recently. Whether they did it out of good faith or were forced to, at least they are stepping up to the plate.
