Michelle Obama Headed to China:
During tough financial times like the USA is having I would think that a responsible president would try to save a dime when he can and curtail his family’s activities somewhat. I guess not; not on his agenda.
With a country in as bad of a financial shape as the USA is it really necessary the Michelle Obama travel to China to discuss her childhood and her upbringing? Do the Chinese people really care? What benefit to the American or Chinese people will this information provide?
“The nature of her visit is really quite different,” said Ben Rhodes, deputy National Security advisor for Strategic Communications. “What the First Lady really brings is the power of her own story, the power of American values.” I will give these spokespeople one thing; they really know who to embellish a story.
For the life of me, I cannot figure out why the USA is always trying to stuff their values down the throats of people in different countries. The USA is an infant in the scheme of things. Who is to say that we are right all the time? I still contend: “clean up your own house before you tell them to get out their vacuum cleaner”! We certainly need a lot of work in that department.
The first lady will tell of her own modest upbringing when she visits schools in Beijing and Chengdu, with a side trip to see the legendary terracotta warriors in the interior city of Xi’an. Teen daughter Malia Obama and her younger sister Sasha will be along during their spring break, as well as their grandmother Marian Robinson.
I am happy to hear that the whole family is going along on the trip. They forgot to mention that a contingent of about 30 secret service agents and vehicles are assigned to these “little trips” the first family makes that have no bearing on the health and welfare of our country.
Read this article I have attached to see how the government (for the people that live under a rock that means the taxpayers) paid for a multimillion dollar birthday bash for Michelle in Hawaii and that is the tip of the iceberg. I guess California or some other continental city wouldn’t do.
If nothing else, when the Obama family leave the White House in 2016 they will be the most lavished family ever to live there; that is when they are home.
Based on cold hard facts; can Obama or any other government official tells us with a straight face that they have the financial well being of the American people as a priority? Absolutely not.

I agree completely! First off, who in another country even cares about Mrs. Obama’s upbringing? I for one, in the great ol’ USA, do not even care. Unless you’re somebody great or infamous like a serial killer, your upbringing is of no concern of mine.
Ok, some may call her great, but I’m not sure how…
