So you think you are getting a bargain; think again.
It has been quite sometime that the once very profitable chain has had one foot on a banana peeling and the other on some oil virgin oil and they are slowly having the door slam behind them. This story will not help their cause any.
This J.C. Penney Worker Was Fired For Telling The Truth About Its ‘Fake’ Prices:
I have ALWAYS been of the opinion that when most of the stores put items on sales they jack up the prices dramatically before the sale starts. We can label it “an industry practice.”
That is exactly why the whistle blower Bob Blatchford was shown the proverbial exit door when he dropped a Dime on JC Penny and blew the whistle on JC’s sale price manipulating.
He appeared on the Today show last July and gave a few examples of how JC Penny tried to steal DOLLARS from their customers on a regular basis. In one case, a “rack of $7 shorts became $14, and then they were 50 percent off,” a separate J.C. Penney worker told the Today show.
Blatchford also stated; “I saw a lot of pricing teams going through the store, raising the prices, mostly doubling — towels and clothing, then they would go on sale, and they wouldn’t always go on sale for 50 percent off. Not only was it a fake sale, but they were actually paying more than they would have been previously.”
I am positive that most of the store have the same “SALE” policies.
As the old saying goes; “buyer beware.”
I think they should change their slogan to EVERY DOLLAR MATTERS
