Army general fined and reprimanded but avoids jail in sex case:

Another case of the “good old boys club” with a good ambulance chaser on the team.

FORT BRAGG, North Carolina –An Army general who carried on a three-year affair with a captain and had two other inappropriate relationships with subordinates was reprimanded and docked $20, 000 in pay Thursday, avoiding jail time in one of the U.S. military most closely watched courts-martial.

Here is a guy that admitted to forcing three female subordinates to engage in oral sex among other things and threatened to kill one of them and her family if she “pardon the pun “blew the whistle” on him and that was just for starters.

As part of the plea deal set up before the case went to trial, Sinclair’s sentence could not exceed terms in a sealed agreement between defense lawyers and military attorneys. The key word in this travesty of justice is “DEAL”. The agreement was unsealed Thursday, called for Sinclair to serve no more than 18 months in jail, but the judge’s punishment was much lighter.

When are the courts civilian and military going to quit making DEALS and try these criminals to the full extent of the law? I guess when the defendants money runs out.

What kind of justice or satisfaction do these women who were his victims get, nothing but a slap in the face? Judgments such as this will only keep future victims from coming forward.

It is one hell of an embarrassment for these ladies to come forward in the first place, admit what happened to them and confront their assailant, let alone come away with little but a gross injustice showed to them.

I had a little more respect for a military court before this case but I can see that they are just as corrupt as a civilian court.

If the degenerate general was a corporal or a sergeant his ass would have been busted to private – forfeiture of all pay and given 20 years in Leavenworth.

Sinclair’s ambulance chasers called a host of character witnesses this week to praise Sinclair as a selfless leader in hopes of getting a lenient punishment. Give me a break. How much were they paid? The only truth to this perverted general are the first 3 letters of his last name “SIN”.

This low-grade bum didn’t deserve any more of a break than Gilbert H. Escobedo the most prolific and notorious serial rapists in Dallas history received 10 life sentences. He just did his dirty work with a uniform on and some stars on his shoulders.

Just another in the very long line of judicial disappointments.
