Black students more likely to be suspended – even in preschool:
Overall, the data show that black students of all ages are suspended and expelled at a rate that’s three times higher than that of white children. Even as boys receive more than two-thirds of suspensions, black girls are suspended at higher rates than girls of any other race or most boys.
Is it possible that some of the black students are not prepared properly by their parents to attend school in the disciplinary department?
We all should know that school should be a place of learning not a place to teach kids discipline. Kids of all races should be “towing the line” before they come to school. It is not the responsibility of teachers to teach their students how to behave.
When are the powers to be going to get their heads out of where the sun doesn’t shine and address these situations appropriately?
When an ostrich sticks his head in the sand they can not see anything around them.
Problems are not resolved by pretending that they do not exist.
One of the best speeches I heard Mr. O give since he has been in office, he was telling the kids in the black community that “it is time to quit blaming other people for their mistakes and assume the responsibility for themselves.” That should apply to people of all races.
I think that about covers it!!!!
