Giant rat: Swedes agog at ‘Ratzilla’ in Stockholm:

How would you like to have this “Rattus norvegicus” AKA rat running around your kitchen.

This is what one home owner in Stockholm Sweden had to put up with until it was eventually captured. This rat was so big the house cat was afraid of getting gobbled up by the beast.

A conventional rat trap was not big enough to capture the robust rodent so a special one was constructed that finally brought the beast down.

The Swedish rat was not the largest rat ever caught. Naturally New York has to be the biggest and best of everything. They killed a 3 foot rodent in a Foot Locker store in 2012.

This toughie must have had a heavy diet of Nike tennis shoes to grow to that size.
