World Trade Center guard taking a siesta

World Trade Center Guard Caught Sleeping:

I must have a crystal ball. I have been blogging about this very scenario for two days, now we have the pictures back it up.

Not only was this guard photographed asleep on duty, but when he was interviewed by reporters he also admitted that he is half blind.

Typical corporate American move; get your help as cheap as possible, qualifications are secondary.  The only time they seem to get serious about security is after there is a tragedy, and that lasts about 2 weeks.

The people that hired some of these guards probably went down to the Bowery and picked a dozen guys out of the soup line to guard the World Trade Center.

Having this information in hand, it would lead a person to wonder what are the qualifications for becoming a guard at the most important building in the USA; especially just after Mr. Obama just said the he was “very concerned” about a nuclear bomb being set off in New York somewhere. I bet the people in the Big Apple were not to happy to hear a comment like that!

What is going to take, another attack for the people in-charge of security at these very sensitive places to hire competent, professionally trained armed guards? Probably.

We only get what we pay for.
