260,000 graduates in minimum wage jobs:
Is this what our government considers real progress?
The ironic thing about this is; I would bet that out of the 260,000 people that this effects about 259,000 of them voted for Obama.
These people spent four years plus in college, spending their parents hard earned money or had to borrow it themselves and all they have to look forward to is walking the streets when they graduate. If they are successful in landing a job usually all they will be making is minimum wage of $7.25.
The government wants to beat its chest and tell the public about all of the jobs they have created in the last couple of years, what they neglect to say is that about 58% of the jobs created are low-wage positions like retail or slinging burgers at the Golden Arches.
Meanwhile these kids or their parents are burdened with a college debt that for the most part is well over $ 100,000 they have to pay.
Take a look at the graph. We can give Obama a pass for his two first years in office where he still had the advantage of blaming GWB for his shortcomings but after that the rest is all on him.
All of the financial distress that has been swept under the rug by our government, one day is going to show its ugly head and the results will not be pretty. Situations are not resolved by ignoring them.
I still do not see any activity on the governments’ part to pay off the national debt. That is going to be the USA’s WaterLoo!
