Rep. Jim Moran: Members of Congress are underpaid:
This is dried up, brain dead old prune needs to be put into a strait-jacket and tucked away in a padded cell some-where he can’t hurt himself. The guy is a lethal moron and should not be walking the streets.
Retiring Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., says he is aware that Congress is unpopular, but he still thinks the legislative body deserves a raise. Are you kidding me. That may just be the most outrageous statement a politician has made in years.
“I think the American people should know that the members of Congress are underpaid,” Moran who is going to retire soon told the newspaper Roll Call. “I understand that it’s widely felt that they under-perform, but the fact is that this is the board of directors for the largest economic entity in the world.”
If in fact these “decaying carp” we call politicians were board of directors in any major company, they would last long enough to open their lunch bag at noon.
I would like to personally ask this delusional old man if truly feels that congress is doing a good job or as they used to say “are they earning their salt?” If his answer is yes, he is one of the 13% of the entire population that thinks so. I think the 13% that think congress is doing a good job are either relative our inmates in a mental hospital.
Members of congress make a yearly salary of $174,000 a year. Moran contends, “A lot of members can’t even afford to live decently in Washington.” I don’t know what the senile old fool is comparing their life style too. $174,000 a year is a big buck no matter where a person lives.
Now, if these pampered, spoiled brats of a politicians want live in the lap of luxury and have maids, butlers, cooks, chauffeurs and someone standing next to the throne to help them wipe, that is a different story.
Most of them have been in DC too long and are out of touch with reality. They wouldn’t know what a real job was if it snuck up behind them and bit them in the ass. “Excuse me my esteemed college from Florida.”
Years back when there was some degree of patriotism in this country, we had good citizens that wanted to get into politics for the betterment of the American people, that time is long gone.
These 13% ers are a bunch of over-paid, under-worked parasites of the government who are sucking the blood out of the American people. For some of them $174,000.00 a year is not enough.
I hope no one forgot that they executed a quickie/behind the door bill last year to make sure their pay checks were not stopped if and when the government closed its door. Real patriots!!
I have a proposition for all of the DC Demagogues. Starting tomorrow, all of you esteemed senators and congressmen will start to be paid base on their performance and taken off of the gravy train they have been riding for years.
That is what makes sense to me.
