Small Chinese cup sells for $36 million:

HONG KONG – A Shanghai collector bought a rare Ming Dynasty cup that’s touted as the “holy grail” of China’s art world for $36 million at a Hong Kong auction on Tuesday, smashing the previous world record price for Chinese porcelain.

I hope Charlie Chan doesn’t drop the cup on the way out the door. That would certainly ruin his day or year.

In Chinese currency that would equate 223,059,600 yuan and that is some serious serious egg foo young.
