GM reportedly declined to discuss fatal crashes despite knowing cause:

Why is corporate crime dealt with differently than civil crime? The answer is “money honey.”

But we are supposed to fell sorry for the corporate hogs; they only made $7.6 billion for the year, beating the record of $6.7 billion set during the truck boom in 1997.

A minimum of at least 13 deaths over the past decade have been linked by GM to faulty ignition switches in Chevrolet Cobalts and Saturn Ions. The company has recalled nearly 29 million vehicles since the initial recall was announced February 7, and GM is currently facing a criminal probe by the Justice Department.

Does a drunk that gets behind the wheel have a premeditated intention of killing someone? No but if found negligent they are charge with vehicular homicide.

In the same token; do the big wigs at GM and other car manufactures intend to kill someone by ignoring documented fact that their cars have a potential lethal defect? Again the answer is no but in these cases the people that deliberately ignore the facts are trying to save their companies money by suppressing the issues. I would conclude that they are more responsible than the drunk is. They made their decisions in a sober and deliberate frame of mind to ignore a potentially deadly issue that in the end cost many people their lives and severe injuries.

The people responsible should be held accountable and charged with vehicular homicide the same way the drunk is. If these measures were taken by the courts possibly some other “money monger” would think twice about sweeping the problem under the rug.

I know; they are too affluenza to take to trial.
