Looting, Vandalism After Vigil for Missouri Man Killed by Cop:
A cop shot Michael Brown 18 years old after a struggle ensued in a police car after Brown was arrested.
A vigil yes, rioting no. We can call it part of our culture or the “American Way.”
It is curious that CNN claims that Brown was unarmed and his hands were in the air when a Ferguson police officer shot and killed him Saturday and CBS says he was in the police car and involved in a struggle with the cop when the shooting occurred? Based on what scenario is true it makes a huge difference.
Regardless of the facts, looters are just an unorganized pack of wack-jobs that are just waiting for an excuse to destroy property and rob someone. They really don’t need much of an excuse to riot.
Is protesting the killing of any person by a policeman acceptable when there are questionable circumstances surrounding the action. Absolutely yes!!
Is vandalizing, setting fire, robbing, injuring and killing people that had nothing to do with the incident acceptable? Absolutely not.
Some rioting proponents will say that rioting is the only way to be heard. I don’t agree. Demonstrating in a peaceful manner is the right thing to do. Shut down the city in a peaceful manner yes but rioting is unacceptable. There are no winners when a riot takes place not even the dummy that stole the TV.
There used to be a law that rioters could be shot and killed during their commission of the crime. That may turn a few heads.
It has been proven that most rioters have no connection to the incident or victims; they are just a bunch of rebel-rouses that are waiting for an excuse to inflict damage on someone’s property or engage in some violent activity.
Most victims of these hate crimes had nothing to do with the original infraction.
One of many examples: The LA riots 1992
Who was this truck driver bothering? He was in the wrong place at the right time.
To me these savage perpetrators look like they should be living in a 3rd world country not a nation that is supposed to be civilized.
It is common knowledge that some people join the police force for a lot of different reasons. Some are gun happy and want to be legal when they shoot someone. Sad to say, in some cases people that become cops are either crooked, lazy, love the power of the badge or last but not least, the good ones are dedicated person that want to make a difference. Thankfully there are more of later than the others.
The cop that shot Brown may have been with-in his rights to defend himself and he may have not.
The supposed leaders of these communities should get on their soap boxes and try to educate their people about non-violence instead of shaking them down. They should be following the teaching of one of their very brilliant leader Nelson Mandela.
