Obama: Black youth face more run-ins with criminal justice system:

It is about time that the government takes a positive approach or any steps for that matter on attempting to turn things around primarily in the black community as far getting the crime rate under control by means of education.

Following a week of public outrage at the shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown at the hands of a police officer in Ferguson, Mo., the president talked about how initiatives like the White House’s “My Brother’s Keeper,” which looks at the best public and private efforts to connect young men with mentoring networks and to help them cultivate skills to get ahead, can help get young men on a better track.

I can’t believe that it has taken so long for the light bulb to go on in DC. This is an issue I have been touting on for years; “the only way to any type of reform is through education. “ HELLO DC!!!!!

The program that Obama is referring to in the video is great but these types of “indoctrination” if you will have to begin at infancy not when someone is 15 years old. “Bend the tree when it is young”.

Point being; the parents of kids have to get their acts together before the kids do.
It is almost an impossibility for a thief to tell his kid that they shouldn’t rob stores or a dope head to tell Jr. not to smoke crack.

It is a known fact, not only in the black community, that when there is a broken home the chances of the kids in that family “going straight” is extremely low. All people are products of their environment.

This endeavor of the president if done correctly is going to take many generations to turn things around but it has to start somewhere and now not tomorrow is as good a time start.

It took many generations for our society to get to this deplorable level of behavior and it is going to take even longer, if it can be turned around,  to get everyone concerned back to a decent, upstanding and respectable way of life.

If someone doesn’t think there is a major calamity in our country they must be living under a rock.

I have said repeatedly;  “problems are not resolved by turning a blind eye to them.”

It remains to be seen just how the government expects to attack this disastrous out of control problem. If it follows their usual course, it will be just another in a long line of financial and unsuccessful blunder.

They will most probably set up a committee to investigate the possibilities and the approach they are going to take. The meeting will be held at Cesar’s Palace in Vegas with all of the 5,000 attendees flying first class and staying in the $2,000.00 a night rooms and using room service exclusively. Hookers; they are on their own.

THEY JUST DON’T GET IT.

What DC needs is someone that is not in the political web to execute special projects. Politicians are not capable of addressing any issues in a timely and efficient manner. They have proven it time and time again.
