Huffington Post:
Congress Returns To Work With Government Shutdown Threat Looming:
AGAIN!!!
I would be willing to bet that these pampered prima-donnas have CTA (covered their ass) again in the event the government shuts down. Heavens forbid they don’t get one of their monthly gifts/handouts. Gifts are given to people as an extra, pay checks are given to people who have worked to receive them. That in itself should exclude most politicians.
This is a game that the overindulged politicians have played so many times before that it is routine for them. Make sure they have fortified their positions and then if it is not inconvenient, not interfering with their breaks, long weekends and extended holidays for them they may consider the nations status.
Washington Post:
Since the modern congressional budgeting process took effect in 1976, there have been a total of seventeen separate government shutdowns.
Friends, Romans and countrymen lend me your ear. This ongoing event is not something that sneaks up on these political parasite; they have months to prepare for it.
If the politicians worried as much about the welfare of the American people as they do themselves, we would all be living the same lifestyle as they are.
THINK-PROGRESS:
In 2013 congress has just eight days on the job between now and the start of the next session on January 7, with the House coming back on Monday and adjourning for the year by December 13 and the Senate returning on December 9 only to most likely adjourn for the year on December 20. In total, the House will have had 239 days off this year with even more scheduled for next year.
I don’t know how accurate or exaggerated this statement is but even if it were half true, it would make the French workers look like slaves to the workplace.
There are a lot of issue out of wack in DC but no one seems to care.
The old cliché use to be “let your vote do your talking”. Helloooo; voting and election don’t seem to be the answer. The same do-nothing freeloading politicians keep getting elected year after year.
One question that has always been puzzling to everyone. Why would someone spend so much on a political campaign to make so little while in office.

This is in the “B” word folks not the “M” word.
Can you even imagine how many contributors have to have the “favors” returned to them for their donations?
The only answer I can come up with is; American voters must be a bunch of masochistic, pain loving people to keep making the same dumb moves time after time.
This country better remember the law of gravity; “whatever goes up must come down.”
