DOD planning to let illegal immigrants enlist:

Good or bad idea? Only time will tell.

The Defense Department plans to let some illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children enlist in the military — a policy that comes as the Army is effectively firing active-duty soldiers due to budget cuts.

The only thing that makes this decision partially acceptable is only the illegals that came to this country as children will be considered. I say that is a big MAYBE.  The government has a poor track record of sticking to policies. Hopefully they will be a little more patriotic than the run of the mill illegals.

It goes without saying that the USA has had its share of difficulties with foreign personal in their ranks. Take a look back at the “turn coat”, butcher, low life Muslim major at Fort Hood that killed 13 and wounded 32 of his comrades.

Not only what he did was an atrocity but the USA government kissed his ass and delayed the trial because this “piece of road kill” refused to shave his beard off. I would have used a chain saw and then jet fuel for after shave.

It is very unfortunate but I do believe in racial profiling in some situations. People have to earn the trust and respect of other; it should not be a given, especially when they have live ammo at their disposal.

If profiling is conducted with respect to the person and saves lives; the person is not doing anything out of order, there should be no objections.  These are very different times we live in and require a different sets of rules.

The liberal mentality of some people in this country has sure put us in some very precarious situation.
