N.H. City wants ‘Robin Hood’ meter feeders kept away from parking attendants:

They are called Robin Hood meter feeders, a well deserved name. According to the city this group of people are stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.

City officials in Keene, NH claim it is costing the city approximately $80,000.00 a year in lost revenue by Robin Hood, Little John, Maiden Mary, Friar Tuck and the rest of the Merry Men filling nearly expired parking meters so the vehicle does not get ticketed.

This has gotten so out of hand as far as the Sheriff of Nottingham is concerned he has taken the case to the highest court in New Hampshire to try and stop these Merry Men from cutting into the kingdom’s coffers.

Robin Hood and his crew are well armed with video cameras (they are a little ahead of their time) and pockets full of change fending off the Sheriff, his deputies and meter maidens from ticketing expired vehicles parked in the Kingdom’s domain.

As far as I know, there is nowhere in the law that stipulate as to who feeds a parking meter whether it is the owner of the vehicle or another person.

It seems like the King and his Kourt in Keene, NH are not missing any meals. For the last 5 years records indicate that they are doing  very well.

If my math serves me correctly, the Kingdom’s Assesses Value is almost 2 billion dollars a year and they are still bitching about people cutting into their parking revenue. They don’t want some of their subjects blood, they want it all.

I would say that the Sheriff and his posse are going to have to suck it up and admit defeat to Robin Hood and his Merry Men who have for now have retreated into Sherwood Forest to regroup for their next assault on the Kingdom’s Koffers.

Let’s hope for Robing and his Merry Men that the King’s Court rules in their favor.

It has not been made clear just who is funding Robin and his crew. That can become a very expensive proposition feed all of those hungry meters.
