Count your fingers

aaa

Here we go again ladies and gents, another day under the big top to try and choose the right clowns to represent us; another opportunity to try and choose “the best of the worst.”

With all of the innuendos and mudslinging that goes on between the candidates the confused voters do not know who to believe in the most corrupted game on the planet. We are resigned to flip as coin and vote for the best of the worst.

The candidate with a catchy or well-known last name or the person that outspends their opponent is most likely to win the election.

It definitely a rich-man’s game. If the candidates name isn’t Kennedy, Rockefeller or Clinton; if they don’t have 50 million in the bank or have some big time spending backers that need favors after the election, they are shit out of luck with any expectation of getting elected.

It truly is a disgrace that the American people have such a poor selection of candidates to choose from. These are the people that are supposed be beyond reproach to insure that the American people are represented with honor and dignity but all they are out for is their own personal gains.

If by chance there does happen to be a “do-gooder” in their midst that has good intentions before they get elected, it doesn’t take too long before they get corrupted like the rest of the “rat pack.”

As the old question keeps popping up; why would someone spend millions of dollars on a campaign to get a low 6 figure salary? The rewards of being a politician are astounding.

Their most lucrative benefit is all of  the inside information they are privy to in so many different areas that eventually makes them very wealthy people.

I don’t believe that there are any politicians that retires or get elected out of office that doesn’t come away very wealthy person.

Year after year the “good citizens” of this country go to the polls to try and have their voice heard through their elected officials but nothing has changed. The fact being, conditions in this country have regressed dramatically.

So on this Election Day 2014, be a good citizen and exercise your voting rights. Go to the polls, close your eyes, make your X and let the cards fall where they may.

It should but it really doesn’t matter who gets elected because the vast majority of the politicians are crooked and dishonest as soon as they get their foot in the political door.

If you do go vote today and have the opportunity to shake hands with a campaigning politician; you better count your fingers when you pull your hand back.

The only good thing about election day is that the commercials that plague the viewers on TV will finally be over until the next “go-round.”
