Pope Excommunicates Pedophile Argentine Priest:
I say it is about time the Catholic Church treats the pedophile priests as criminals instead of “hiding them out” or transferring them to a different parish so they can continue to molest kids.
Pope Francis is finally stepping up to the plate and has excommunicated a pedophile Argentine priest, a move that was celebrated by many of the victims of this sicko’s crime.
Not that being excommunicated rattles this guys cage. If he was a man of the cloth as he was disguising himself as, he would have never committed these crimes. What this move by the pope has done is to give the Catholic church some of its credibility back that it needs desperately to survive.
Jose Mercau who was sentenced to 14 years in prison in 2011 after admitting to sexually abusing four teenagers finally got the boot from the Catholic church thanks to Pope Francis.
Pope Francis’s aggressive change in the church’s past treatment of the pedophiles is a long time coming. For centuries the molesters have been sheltered, hidden and in some cases insulated against being punished for their crimes.
One case that stands out in my mind is “the dog” that wants to call himself a priest, Lawrence Murphy that admittedly molested 200 deaf and blind boys in a Wisconsin school and got away without serving a day in jail or any type of sanctions against him.
The punishment for this degenerate “wolf in sheep’s clothing” was to allow him to continue working in parishes and schools, with deaf people for the next 24 years and in the Diocese of Superior .
I have always maintained that the pedophiles are sick in their heads but the people, all the way to the top, that covered up for them all because of the “almighty dollar” were worse than they are.
My hat is off to Pope Francis that is making a decent attempt to heal the old wounds of the molested kids and to get the church back on the right path.
Keep up the good work Francis; your next stop will be with “the main man.”
