The votes are in and the ballots are counted, nothing will change and it will be (BAU) business as usual, if not worse.
Mr. Obama addressed the nation and said “now is the time to take care of business.”
In a true politicians form; it is the same old story and the same old rhetoric that we have been hearing for 6 years. Wasn’t that the game plan in 2008 when Mr. O took office? One would think that Mr. O’s script writer would get some new material. This stuff is real old and worn out like a beat up car in a junk yard.
In 2008 the American people were desperate to get some new faces and a different party in the White other than the Republican Party because of the disastrous path of destruction they left in their wake.
Barrack Obama, who was virtually unknown came riding into the public’s view on a silver steed posing as the “savior of the USA” that was headed down a slippery slope at a high rate of speed. He was very believable to the majority of the voters with all of his promises and commitments to get the USA back into shape and shake off the last 8 years of government mismanagement.
As history is told, Obama got the majority of check marks and got elected as the first black American president.
That was supposed to be a shot in the arm for all Americans. First of all demonstrating to the world that the USA was not as prejudice as everyone thought we were and secondly especially the black community because they now had “their own man” in the big seat that was going to work wonders for them.
Just like in a lot of the fairy tale stories, they don’t always end up with a happy ending.
Now that the republicans have control of the senate; what we are going to see is an abundance of Mr. O using his favorite toy “executive privilege.” There is no way that he is going to capitulate to the republicans or visa versa.
It is going to be another 2 years of back and forth name calling and innuendos, with parties blaming the other for their inefficiencies. To put it mildly; after the smoke clears and all of the back slapping is over, there will not be any changes, but BAU.
As far as I am concerned there should only be a one party system in the USA where all of the politicians are compelled to have the same goal and that is to do what right for the American people instead of them constantly doing “what is good for the party.”
Although politics and politicians has always been a cut throat business, in recent years because of their greed, having to paying back their campaign contributors and self-serving mentality it has spiraled out of control. With a 16% approval rating, I think that the numbers speaks for them-self. Inefficiency like this would never be acceptable in the private sector.
Gallup Poll:
Congressional Approval Rating Languishes at Low Level
So goes politics; so goes the blame game. Obama has already declared himself that he will not even bend let alone break for the republican controlled senate.
It has gotten to the point that negotiation between the parties has become a personal “pissing contest” or a grudge match instead of a joint venture to legitimately try and resolve the problems plaguing the USA.
I think that is where the term “they is a real dicks” comes from!!!
Like a merry go-round; round and round we go where we stop nobody knows.
