It is refreshing to see that there is at least one celeb out there that is using a little tough love to raise her kids and not falling into line with “permissive pack.”
Kelly Ripa who is sometimes labled as an “air head” that I am sure is just an act has got her act together in the parenting department.
Kelly and her daughter bumped heads recently over an issue when her daughter broke one of the house rules.
Kelly’s answer to her disgruntled kid ; “I am not your friend, I am your mother.” I say good for Regis’s old side- kick.
It not an easy task raising a kid these days with all of the outside distractions and peer pressure, especially in the type of environment the celebs live in with all of the permissive parenting going on.
Today Ripa gets the “mom of the month trophy” for her taking a stand as a good mom first and then a friend next. Some of her rappies in La La Land should take lessons from her.
The biggest compliment to any parent is to have their kids grow up as stand-up and responsible citizens and hopefully pass some of their life experiences on to their kids.
Maybe someday but I doubt it, this world will get back to the sadly lost old school values where respect for others was the top priority.
“Get down and give me 20.”
