I find it hard to believe that Mr. O isn’t aware of the infractions of the law that one of his close advisors has perpetrated because he doesn’t pay taxes. In doing so Obama is thumbing his nose at all of the law abiding Americans in this country.
Sharpton who is the consummate con man not only owes the government back taxes but denies he even owe the money. He has been hiding behind his so called non-profit organizations/shelters for quite some time.
There are varying reports out there but according to this Fox report Sharpton owes Uncle Sam 819 thousand dollars and is 1.3 million dollars in debt.

On 18 November 2014, the New York Times published an article titled “As Sharpton Rose, So Did His Unpaid Taxes” asserting more than $4.5 million in current state and federal tax liens had been taken out against the civil rights activist and his for-profit businesses. That item echoed a previous article published in August of 2014 by the New York Post titled “Sharpton Demands Accountability, But Still Owes Millions in Back Taxes.” Both articles stated records reviewed by the respective publications showed Sharpton owed millions of dollars to state and federal agencies in unpaid taxes, with the Post reporting:
Sharpton himself owes New York state $806,875 and has federal liens for unpaid personal income taxes against him totaling $2.6 million, records show.
The Harlem-based NAN owed $813,576 to the federal government at the end of 2012, according to the most recent filings for the group.
Sharpton’s company, Rev-Al Communications, owes $447,826 to the state. His Bo-Spanky Consulting firm has only $18.21 in outstanding debt, according to state records.
Is this the kind of person Obama wants on his advisory board? Hopefully The Revs is not an advisor on the national debt; the USA has enough problems in that department.
The clincher in the scenario is; I am sure that the Revs is getting paid a pretty good piece of change for his advice/services. Essentially he is getting paid by the same entity he owes money to.
Obama putting Sharpton on any advisory board would have been like Eliot Ness making Alfonso “Scar Face” Capone the director of liquor sales for the government.
