Public education success story for inner city kids:
A great success story of what EDUCATION can do to turn around the despicable conditions that plague our cities and eventual downfall for so many kids.
I have been on a soap box for years stressing EDUCATION as the only means in the development of our kids but I have been singing to an empty auditorium.

Our government should take a good look at the achievements of others such as the Eagle Academy and learn from their success rate.
When any economy wants to save money, they have to start saving pennies and the dollars will follow. The same thing applies to the development of kids. Start teaching them the basics and fundamentals of life, through EDUCATION and the rest will follow.
The Eagle Academy for Young Men is a system of six schools, open to grades six through 12, created in 2004 by the group One Hundred Black Men of America. The schools are strategically placed in high-crime areas in all five boroughs of New York City, and in Newark, New Jersey, and could very well be saving lives.
The Eagle Academy was started 10 years ago by some very dedicated black men that saw the virtue and necessity of EDUCATION and took action. Why is it that our government that should have recognized the success of this organization, didn’t follow suit?
I really believe that most politicians are such ego maniacs; if it is not their idea they do not want to implement it.
Take the politics out of government and learn by others success. Only fools walk around with blinders on.
EDUCATION is the central most important element in raising our kids to become solid, honest, respectful citizens.
Possibly some people do not know what I mean by education. I do not mean teaching them that 1 & 1 =2. What I do mean is teaching kids – respect for themselves and others – responsibility – discipline – honesty – good working ethics – good family values – obedient; the basic fundamentals of becoming a decent person and a solid citizen. 1 & 1 = 2 naturally will fall into the mix.
Just like anything else we do in in life. When we are building a house the most important element in the structure of the house is the foundation. A good foundation makes a solid house – a weak foundation produces a house that will eventually crumble.
DC Dudes; open your eyes; take notice of what works and what doesn’t; be objective even if it hurts and move on from there. Hiring all of the czar and committees on the planet to study the deplorable conditions that surround our kids has not worked and will not work; just cost the taxpayers billions.
Quit being politicians and start being good American citizens.
