A true American patroit

For anyone that is too young Red Skelton, he was quite a unique man in many different ways.

He was a great comedian that laughed harder at his own jokes than his audience did – he was a man of many different faces and disguises’ – he fell into that irreplaceable list of outstanding entertainers in the 30’s thru the 70’s that were one man shows.

Born Richard Bernard Skelton, Red had his radio and TV program from 1937 until 1971.

Red had a multitude of different characters he portrayed; sometime getting so wrapped up in the character the viewers or listeners didn’t know if he was acting or really got enveloped in that personality. Needless to say, Red Skelton was one of a kind. Some people even questioned whether he really had all of his marbles or not.

The one thing that made him stand out above all else was the fact that he was a true America patriot that loved his country immensely. He made many trips to entertain the troops that were off to war as well as visited the wounded servicemen in hospitals.

This one particular dialogue is what Red was remember for the most.

Among his awards were

There should be more patriotic entertainers and celebs in our country that should realize if it wasn’t for the USA they couldn’t have ever achieved the success they have.  Instead there are a few of nut cases like Michael Moore that don’t have anything better to do than criticize a national hero like Chris Kyle the American sniper.

Unfortunately patriotism is a dying entity in this country. Only when there is a national tragedy do the citizens units but that only lasts about 3 days.

In conclusion; as Red Skelton used to say at the close of each show; Good night and may God bless.
