Sad commentary to our society

Geraldo Rivera: ‘Hip-Hop Has Done More Damage to Black And Brown People Than Racism In The Last 10 Years’:

Jerry Rivera has it only partially right. There are so many different disturbing influences in our society these days that have brought the USA to one of its lowest point in history that they may be too numerous to mention.

The effects of this rubbish are not only in the black and brown communities as Rivera contends; it is rampant throughout all races and nationalities. I know that most of the ultra-liberals will disagree with me. Thats their problem.

Take a good look at where the USA’s students stand in their aptitude standing in the world. It is a disgrace. We used to be the leader in the world now we are not even making honorable mention. Much of it is a result of the mentality of these kids today that are wrapped up in this lifestyle shoved down their throats and unknowingly being  force fed to them.

Education by the numbers:

Top US students fare poorly in international PISA test scores, Shanghai tops the world, Finland slips

Conventional wisdom is that top U.S. students fare well compared to their peers across the globe. According to this line of reasoning, the US doesn’t make it on the list of the top 25 countries in math (or top 15 in reading) because America has higher poverty and racial diversity than other countries do, which drags down the national average.

Where does anyone think that this type of poor performance began? With the lack of parenting and family values, disgraceful role models, outside influences in the entertainment industry and so on.

Most of the people today, especially kids, do not know how it used to be when mostly everyone, because of the family values were taught the qualities of honesty, integrity, respect, patriotism, loyalty and decency because they have not lived in those times. The only thing they do know, their parents and grandparents walked to 6 to school miles each way regardless of what the weather conditions, uphill both ways.

To tell someone in this day and age that we used to sleep on our front porch in the summer because air-conditioning was not invented yet or we were too poor to buy it; we hardly ever locked our doors because of an almost non-existent crime rate.

We didn’t have to worry about our ladies and kids walking home at night fearing that they would be abducted or raped. Most people today have not lived in those periods of time so they can not appreciate the distinguish between the two.

Is it a shame that a parent has to stand in their driveway with their kid waiting for the school bus in fear of someone crazy bastard kidnapping them?

Take a good look at all of the people that were supposed to be the pillars of the community. Priest – teacher – cops – politicians. Who can be trusted today?

Where did this country and for that matter this world go wrong? I can tell you it didn’t happen overnight. It was inch by inch, foot by foot and mile by mile that was so gradual that it was barely noticeable until it became too late to turn things around.

Most of the corruption and degeneration of this country has all been done by the money mongers in the entertainment business, (video games – music – movies), pornography, drugs and advocates of promiscuity. The PC-ness has not done us any favors either.

When the constitution was put together by the guys that wore the wigs, they never could conceive that our society would have spun out of control the way it has. Many of the money people that are involved in these industries manipulate the rules of the constitution in their favor for illicit purposes to make money.

aaaa

Did the wig guys ever envision porno flicks being defended in the courts as freedom of expression? Did they ever conceive that the court systems would be as abuse as they are in the name of a criminal’s rights? Whatever happened to the victims rights?

Did the wig guys ever foresee the USA having politicians use and abuse their positions as they so frequently do by twisting and turning the rules and regulations of the constitution to serve their greedy purposes? Absolutely not to all of the above.

So Rivera is partially right when he says: Hip-Hop Has Done More Damage to Black And Brown People Than Racism In The Last 10 Years because everything is intertwined. For the most part; it all revolves around money and power.

Some of the lyrics in the so called hip hop and rap music are absolutely inciting.  It denigrates women, calls for the killing of cops. Videos are so violent that anyone that has a few boards loose in their attic will go out and copycat what they have just watched.  This has been a proven fact.

It really doesn’t matter to some lawmakers and the people that produce this garbage in music, movies and videos that they are heavily influencing the young people with the wrong messages. They will go to any extremes to defend what they do as freedom of something or other in an effort to make the big bucks.

The wig guys would all roll over in their graves to know that their well-intended constitution they so delicately and painstakingly put together is being so flagrantly abused and misuse the way it is.

Some politicians and the money people defend what they do and call this progress. I say shame on them for their piss poor contribution in the ruination of the younger generations that never had the chance to experience how the old days were and what a quality of life was supposed to be all about.

Walking uphill both ways in all types of weather never hurt anyone; instead it built character.
