It appears that all of the garbage collectors are coming out of the woodwork to try and catch their counterparts from other networks in a bull-shit story. Guess who is first on their chopping block?
CNN now claims that Bill O’Reilly is just as big a bull-shitter as Brian Williams by embellishing his account of involvement in the Falkland Islands war when he was a ground-pounder.
The story was broke by Mother Jones that is a nonprofit news organization that specializes in investigative, political, and social justice reporting.

Who was the real Mother Jones?
Barely five-foot tall Mother Jones was a fearless fighter for workers’ rights—once labeled “the most dangerous woman in America” by a U.S. district attorney. Mary Harris “Mother” Jones rose to prominence as a fiery orator and fearless organizer for the Mine Workers during the first two decades of the 20th century. Her voice had great carrying power. Her energy and passion inspired men half her age into action and compelled their wives and daughters to join in the struggle. If that didn’t work, she would embarrass men to action. “I have been in jail more than once and I expect to go again. If you are too cowardly to fight, I will fight,” she told them.
Media Matters:
O’Reilly has repeatedly told his audience that he was a war correspondent during the Falklands war and that he experienced combat during that 1982 conflict between England and Argentina. He has often invoked this experience to emphasize that he understands war as only someone who has witnessed it could. As he once put it, “I’ve been there. That’s really what separates me from most of these other bloviates. I bloviate, but I bloviate about stuff I’ve seen. They bloviate about stuff that they haven’t.”

Like my dear friend used to say, between you me and the lamppost, one of them has to be bull-shitting. The old rule of thumb or rule of the dumb is; when bloviating be careful not to bull-shit too much or at least be reasonable and believable.
I can understand that any person who is trying to climb the ladder of success will try and put their best foot forward to make themselves look important but especially people in Williams and O’Reilly’s positions should know that they cameras are rolling. If caught in a bull-shit story, they cannot lie their way out of it.
What should be the penalty for O’Reilly if in fact he is caught with his tit or tongue in the wringer; the same as Williams to be fair, suspension or the axe.
There was a little guy that was made of wood that was a very nice kid but he love to make himself look important but fabricating his stories. As a result, with every lie he told his nose got bigger and so did his lies.
The shame of the story is; just like Pinocchio, neither one of the reporters needed to embellish their stories to become popular, they are both very good people and good at what they do.
If in fact O’Reilly did exaggerate his involvement in the wars he should come clean and take his lumps. It is a lot easier in the long haul. The competition is not going to give him any slack.
