Majority of House members sign letter blasting Obama bullet ban proposal:

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives says it wants to ban popular .223 M855 “green tip” ammunition because the bullets can pierce bulletproof vests used by law enforcement.

In this case I do agree with Mr. O that .223 M855 ammo should be banned for public use but only when it is not available to the criminal elements. It should only be accessable to the military.

Why would Average Joe, the good upstanding citizen need armor piercing ammo if the criminals did not have it?

These issues regarding AK-47’s and other assault rifles; armor piercing ammo are going to be debated for many years to come.

The weapons and the ammo are not the problem; it is the people that have access to them.

Easy solution; police the industry that manufacturers them and prohibit any sale except to the military. Infractions of the rules will result in 20 years at hard labor. That may be a deterrent.

It is ALWAYS about money!!!
