Utah passes bill allowing execution by firing squad; putting  Old Sparky in the retirement home.

It is about time that the penal systems in this country came up with a plausible solution to execute inmates that are sentenced to death.

In Utah there will be no more hang-ups as to whether the needle that is being used to execute a convicted prisoner is sterile or not; if the medication that is used is uncomfortable for the prisoner when being injected and any other half-baked excuses the ambulance chasers can come up with to delay the executions. The longer the stay is the more money the chasers make.

It used to be that in a firing squad there is one rifle that had blanks in it so no one knew which sharpshooter really killed the convicted prisoner.  Possibly making it a little  easier on the shooters conscience.

Execution by firing squad  is fast, relatively painless and it happens so fast that the prisoner doesn’t know what hit him.

It still makes no sense to my why someone that is found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, eyewitnessed or by DNA should be allowed to live another 20 years on death row until their appeals run out. It is a waste of time and taxpayers money.

I could see the relevance years ago when there was no DNA for 100% absolute proof of someone guilt but that was then and this is now.

Many prisoners on death row want to be put out of their misery but the systems wants to keep them alive. Don’t forget that the judges and the ambulance chaser are in bed together.

I don’t think there is any credible proof that the death penalty is a deterrent to crime but it gives the victims’ families some satisfaction, save the states a lot of money and the criminal gets what they deserve for committing the crime.

SO WHY NOT?????????

Some people say that giving a person life in prison without the possibility of parole is worse than the death penalty. On the other hand; a vast percentage of prisoner love to be institutionalized. Like Brer Rabbit; this is exactly where they want to be!!
