Aaron Schock resigns after new questions about out of line expenses:

It is no real shock that Aaron Schock is just as dumb and greedy as the rest of some public figures that think public or government money was put on this earth to indulge them. He is just another egocentric pig.

We all know that just about everyone steals a little sometime in their life. Some little old lady may pick a grape off of the counter while she is shopping and eat it; technically that is stealing.

We may have a construction guy that takes home a couple of 2×4’s once and awhile; that is stealing too.

There is a big difference between stealing a 2×4 on occasion and stealing the lumber for an entire house. Taking a little at a time, no one notices but when the thief backs his truck to the loading dock in broad daylight and fills it up with lumber, everyone notices.

I knew a guy that worked in the steel mills year back. Every night he walked through the main gate pushing a wheelbarrow with a canvas draped over the barrow. The guard stopped him every night, picked up the canvas, looked in the barrow; nothing was there and the guy went on his way. At the end of 6 months the steel mill found out they had 120 wheelbarrows missing. Gotta be crafty to be a good thief.

Some guy I know loves the expression; The pig get fat but the hogs get slaughtered.

They (the hogs) all have an uncontrollable need to feed their ego. Aaron Schock falls into the second category; the hog. He and people like him are so self-absorbed that they are not satisfied with a couple of 2×4’s; they are stealing the material for a mansion.

Speaking of egos; Schock wanted to shock the entire world and show what a politician in the USA should look like with their shirt open. If that is not the epitome of arrogance, I don’t know what is.

I am the first one that says a person should always keep themselves in good physical condition but is it appropriate for a congressmen or whatever he WAS to show his wears the way Schock did on the magazine cover? It is just another indicator of his lack of being in touch with reality.

Schock is like some of his distant cousins, the bishops from the Catholic Church that spent excessive amounts of moneys decorating their home, offices and misusing money for their personal expenses.

These high ranking right handers forgot the vows they took when they came into the priesthood. Priests take the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. These promises are part of the ordination ceremony.

No one want to see a priest or anyone else living in a cardboard box but when their HOLINESSSSSSSS are living better than their parishioners’, that should be a big indicator that something is out of kilter. .

I coined a phrase years back; I never saw a skinny priest driving an old car. Does it fit??

Schock has probably shaken his last dollar out of the political tree but then again he may be another Jimmy Bakker, the evangelist that did time and landed on both feet to sing once more when he got out of the slams.

Time will tell if Schock has enough political clout or money or a sympathetic judge to get a slap on the wrist for his evil, greedy ways. Unlike the mere mortals of the world, politicians and people in the upper crust brackets have a way of circumventing the time they do behind bars.
