Sen. Robert Menendez to face corruption charges:
The envelop he gave me was only this big!
Is this supposed to be something new; a politician getting kickbacks??? This is a prime example of what I have been blogging on for years. The big paybacks.
I am absolutely sure that Menendez is only one of the many politicians who are getting their palms greased and richly rewarded for favors extended.
Are we really that naive to think that all of the billions that are donated to politicians do not come with strings attached? If you are one of the gullibles’; don’t forget about the few parcels of swampland I still have for sale.
The criminal charges are expected to be filed Wednesday against the good senator Menendez for trips he took in 2010 to the Dominican Republic as a guest of Melgen. In 2013, after word of the federal investigation became public, Menendez paid back Melgen $58,000 for the 2010 plane trips calling his failure to properly disclose the flights an “oversight.”
Oversight; my keasters for Easter. The dude got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and was forced into returning the 58 grand. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if he got the money from Melgen to himself back. All for the front.
Corruption in politics and in public service where favors are extended is as old and black pepper. No one really pays attention until the recipient gets greedy and takes more than he can eat at the time.
Another source of exposure is someone the politician may have pissed off and they are getting even. The old saying; keep you enemies close but keep your friends closer has a lot of merit.
