Seattle boss raises entire company’s minimum wage to $70,000:
Talk about hen’s teeth; people like David Price just do not exist.
This classy, very benevolent guy, owner of Gravity Payments a credit card company in Seattle cut his pay nearly by a million dollars a year so all of his employees would make at least $ 70,000.00 a year.
David heard about a study that claimed people making $40,000.00 a year had a difficult time of getting by.
“As much as I’m a capitalist, there is nothing in the market that is making me do it,” he told the paper.
Even the lowest paid clerk in the office will be making 70 thousand a year.
For his show of generosity and compassion for his workers, David gets the boss of the century award.
Let’s see if this can become contagious to some of the other high rollers in corporate America. Don’t forget you grand ladies and gents of corporate America; without your loyal, hardworking employees your company would just be a name on some stationary letterhead. Share your wealth and good fortune.
I hope Dave saved a few bucks for a haircut and a shave. As classy as he is, he could look anyway he wants to.
