Report suggests that Freddie Gray Injured Himself:

This is going to be a tough sell to the black community and the rest of the concerned citizens in this country.

A leaked police document that claims Freddie Gray was “intentionally trying to injure himself” while in the back of a police van in Baltimore after his arrest is being questioned due to inconsistencies with earlier reports.

Supposedly there was another person in the same van as Gray and this person allegedly heard, not seen, Gray trying to harm himself.

According to what I read it is very unlikely that anyone could severe their own spinal cord. Possible yes if someone ran full speed ahead into a brick wall head first with a 20′ head start but in this case, the way Gray was confined it doesn’t add up.

A spinal cord injury is “damage to the spinal cord that results in a loss of function such as mobility or feeling.” This type of injury is most often caused by a traumatic blow of the kind that would be sustained in a car accident, severe fall or an act of violence.

There must be a sudden, traumatic blow to the spine that fractures, dislocates, crushes or compresses one or more of the vertebrae, or when a gun shot or knife penetrates the spinal cord. After a spinal cord injury, bleeding, inflammation and swelling occurs, and fluid builds up in and around the spinal cord.

I certainly do not want to be the judge or jury but based on past practices of cover-ups in the police departments around the country they are making it very difficult for anyone to believe in the tooth fairy.

If in fact that by some fluke act of nature Gray did cause his own injury, it may be too little too late for the public to accept after all of the other supposed accidental deaths that have happened while civilians were in police custody.

It is an absolute shame. We should always put ourselves in the other person’s situation to consider how they feel.

I still maintain; there should be a peaceful solution to these problems but first and foremost, the police must absolutely get their people under control and pull the reins in on these renegade cops. Get rid of them.

Secondly; the criminals out there have to find a new way to make a living so they do not give authorities any cause to confront them.  It has to be a complete cooperative act of all parties concerned if the USA expects to make any progress in attaining peaceful relations in this country. As it looks now; it is very bleak and not getting any better.

Possibly it should be the responsibility of the 99.9% of the good cops to take a dramatic stand against the .01% of the rogue cops to eliminate them and not protect them as they have been.  The authorities are asking the black community to have their solid citizens take a stand against their rebels; let the authorities take their own advice.

Very sad times for the United States.
