HAPPY MOTHERS DAY
To all of the GOOD moms out there Happy Mother’s Day.
There are many times that your hard work and contributions to the family are taken for granted and go unnoticed but I will go on record saying; without the GOOD, dedicated mothers in this world families would be in big trouble.
You are what we can call an all-inclusive person. Going back to the beginning; you go through 9 month of pregnancy, morning sickness, discomfort, weight gain, mood swings and all of the other drudgeries that come with giving birth.
After birth is when your job kicks into high gear. You are up all night taking care of the baby because your old man refuses to get out of bed and help – change and wash the baby 10 times a day – feed the baby – in your spare time, clean the house, make dinner, take care of your other kids, wash cloths, go shopping, pick up after the slob you live with, take care of the kids when they are sick, take them to school and all other activities, have their friends over the house, cook dinner; the list is endless.
These activities are not just a one time mission in the life of a GOOD mom; the entire scenario starts over again day after day for years as soon as your feet hit the floor in the morning; that is if you even slept.
Many times you feel that all you do is unappreciated, goes unnoticed and sometime it is. The kids take what you do for them as a given and the old man is either too busy to notice or they doesn’t give a damn. A little compliment or a kiss on the cheek always goes a long way.
There have been many situations where the dad had to pinch hit for the mom because of an illness or some other emergency, only then did he grasp how significant and difficult his wife job really is.
I don’t know many men that would trade places with their wives and even less of them that would admit it. It is a guy thing.
The GOOD mothers in this world are truly the backbone of the family and the super glue that holds the family together. To all of the GOOD mothers I say once again;
