Exclusive: Bill Cosby Breaks Silence About Sexual Assault Allegations:
Based on what I saw in this interview, the public doesn’t know anymore now about his culpability in the rape accusations than they did before this interview.
Be that as it may; in this life there has to be a give and take; live and let live, acceptance of one another, criticism when someone is wrong and praise when they are right, even if you disagree with the person or don’t like them. It is called acknowledgement.
There has to be a recognition of a person qualities as well as their shortcomings. At this time no one is a better poster boy of this example than Bill Cosby.
According to the allegations of rape that can go as high as 30 different women against the one time superstar whose star is now tarnished; this man has put himself and his credibility in a severe bind.
As I have alluded to before; there can’t be that many accusers and they all are lying. Not knowing but guessing, I would assume there can be a half a dozen ladies out there looking for attention or monetary compensation, the rest of them most probably have a case and I would conclude that Cosby is definitely guilty of majority of the accusations.
The point of my post is; even though Cosby has allegedly committed these crimes, it still does not take away from the man what he has been attempting to do, to educate the kids in the black community. Under staunch criticism he is trying make them understand that only through EDUCATION can they ever come out of the depressed holes they are in.
The man has to be acknowledged for what he is attempting to do that the vast majority of the other black leaders are not doing. He is one of the few that is willing to stick out his neck and speak against the lifestyles and habitual circumstances that are keeping many of the black youth in limbo. For that he should be admired.
If he is found guilty of these allegations he should pay the price. On the other side of the coin he should be held in very high esteem for his concern and involvement in the black community.
It is not an easy task to be one of the only leaders in any culture that is willing to take an unpopular stand for what they believe in regardless of the outcome.
I have known a few people in my life that totally mystify me and I always ask myself; how can they be so good and so bad at the same time??
Fat Albert definitely is a double edged sword.
I will always praise Cosby for his determination and commitment trying to turn around the lost kids of his race.
