Airlines Spike Prices Following Amtrak Derailment:
Leave it to the Unfriendly Skies to shaft the public every chance they get.
The only thing the miserly, merchants of money don’t use when dealing with the public is a mask and a gun. They stick us up every chance they get.
The price of a ticket went up dramatically because the airlines saw an devious opportunity to screw the public by taking advantage of the disastrous train derailment in Philadelphia on Tuesday. As the old saying goes; one person’s misfortune is another person’s fortune. I think their practices are totally unethical
Is the service any better – are they serving dinners instead of a microscopic bar of pretzels – are the attendants more accommodating? To all the above it is a big NO.
The airlines new motto is; There is nothing better than kicking a person when they are down.
What the heck ever happened to customer loyalty? It is a joke.
Flying used to be something people looked forward to doing, it was a luxury. The airlines stood on their heads trying accommodate and attract customers. Now they give you the impression; take it or leave it!
Although they constantly have the crying towel out they are making nothing but money.
In 2014 CNN reported that the airlines made an 18 billion dollar profit. They must have people on their payroll staying up nights trying to come up with more ways to screw the public.
The airline industry has come up with some very creative ways to make a buck that were all included in the price of a ticket at one time. The extras included: pay for baggage – seating in exit rows – seating for more legroom – payment for beverages – rent a pillow – cut out meals or snacks on shorter flights. Even if a better seat is unoccupied on a flight and you wanted to switch, they either charge you or do not permit you to move.
With all of these extras they tacked on they are making billions and still are not satisfied. Before we know it they are going to selling bottled air.
I think it is reprehensible that they are allowed to raise the price of tickets taking advantage of a disaster in their industry. They can almost be compared to the looters that are robbing the stores when a riot is taking place. Opportunistically underhanded.
