TSA SHAKEUP: Acting agency chief out after scathing security report:

Like we say where I came from; ain’t this a bitch!! The government did it again with their selection of the people they hire to mind the store. We might as well say they hired the big bad wolf to watch the chicken coop.

Was Melvin Carraway assigned this position because of his supposed experience in the field, because he is someone’s cousin or was it to fill a quota? Whatever the case may be the lad failed with flying colors.

I can’t imagine that someone that is this incompetent just got that way overnight. It had to take a long time for him to develop this level of failure on the job.

The acting head of the Transportation Security Administration was reassigned late Monday after a watchdog report revealed that undercover agents were able to sneak fake explosives and banned weapons through security checkpoints as part of an ongoing investigation that showed a massive, system-wide security failure at America’s airports.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson announced that TSA Acting Administrator Melvin Carraway had been sent to work in the department’s Office of State and Local Law Enforcement. Acting Deputy Director Mark Hatfield will take over the TSA until a new acting administrator is appointed.

The key word being reassigned, not fired or severely disciplined. This is a common practice in the government, police forces and even in some religions; that instead of taking severe disciplinary action against an offender, they are hidden in another department or sometimes even promoted to a more responsible position. It is called a CYA (cover your ass) maneuver to conceal the ineptness of all parties concerned.

By using a clandestine spying operations, spies spying on spies, it was revealed by the Homeland Security’s “red team” that TSA screeners failed 67 out of 70 tests or 96 percent of the time. A 96% failure rate is hard to imagine.

There has been an ongoing operation by the red team smuggling fake weapons past the TSA inspectors in order to determine their effectiveness in the performance of their duties. It appears that Melvin Carraway’s department knew of the findings but elected to shove the results under the covers instead of doing what he is paid to do.

I am sure that the terrorists and some of the wackos out there are thrilled to have this information.

How can it be that so many people like Carraway slip through the cracks. What that would indicate to me; the people conducting the preliminary screening research are as bad as the people they are screening.

I fully understand that no department is perfect in the performance of their jobs being in the government or in the private sector but a 96% failure rating is outrageous.

The TSA might as well send out a hand written invitation to all of the terrorists and criminal element out there; the doors are wide open fellas, come on down!!
