Like kids in the school yard

Law enforcement squabbles reportedly hamper search for escaped killers:

Like little kids in the school yard arguing. The law enforcement agencies in New York State do not know what the meaning of co-operation is.

Everyone wants to be the hero. No one organization wants to co-operate with the other and share information about their plan of attack. Just like in the news media; they all want the claim to fame; you heard it here first.

The New York State Police agency is supposed to be the lead investigating team to ramrod the search for the two escaped killers David Sweat and Richard Matt but they have refused to share information with the other agencies.

Some of the other agencies involved in the manhunt are local police, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, the state Correctional Services Department, the state Environmental Conservation Department, and the U.S. Marshals are being left in the cold. It is the old Chinese shell game where the left hand doesn’t know what the right foot is doing; or something like that.

Put your egos in the top drawer of your desks and close it; start talking to one another. You will all be celebrated when the killers are caught.

Remember 911 fellas; the FBI – Secret Service and CIA liked sharing important information as well. That is not the way it should work.

Quit beating your chest and wanting to be like Tarzan; get down to business; there will be enough ink for everyone.

Commander and Chief
