Self-praise stinks

There are a couple of clichés that come to mind when I hear anyone expounding on their own virtues like James did the other day.

Self-praise stinks – empty barrels make the loudest noise – if you are good someone else will blow your horn, you don’t have to.

It looks like Al had the right formula.

Is LeBron the best basketball player in the world, possibly but for him to say publicly that he is the best in the world sort of rubs me the wrong way.

If the Cavs don’t win tonight, that may take some of the wind out of the Braggadocios Dude’s sails or maybe not.

There is definitely a thin line between confidence and conceit and I think the Big Boy cross the line. I don’t know if he realizes just how egotistical and ridiculous he sounded making that statement.

That is the way the ball bounces.
