The long awaited republican convention is finally happening in Cleveland, Ohio; formerly known as The Mistake on the Lake and before that Bomb City USA because of all the mobsters that were trying to rub each other out with explosives.
Through the years Cleveland has been attempting to separate itself from the old days, when in 1969 Lake Erie was so polluted that the Cuyahoga River connected to the lake caught on fire.
Since then there have been some significant attempts to straighten out the city and has been very successful. After all; Cleveland was chosen to host the republican convention. That is quite a big accomplishment and distinction in itself. Although no one can convince me that Dallas was not more suited to host the convention with all of their outstanding facilities centrally located. But that falls into the political spectrum of wheeling and dealing.
The field of people running for president on the republican ticket is quite large and very diverse. It is comprised of 17 candidates, the vast majority of them being politicians.
It has been widely discussed over the years that what the USA needs to get our country back on track is a someone that is not a politician, not beholding to anyone, a strong character, a good business person, someone that is not easily intimidated and naturally a true patriot.
Initially The Donald came out of the box slugging, taking jabs and throwing right hooks at anyone who got in his way or disagreed with him. I don’t know what his initial methodology was supposed to be but if nothing else he sure made himself heard. Sometime of his commentary was favorable and other times insulting. But to give the devil their due, right – wrong or indifferent he stuck by his guns.
It appears in the last few weeks Donald Trump has became more serious about running for president and has seen the wisdom controlling his rhetoric somewhat.
He has not capitulated but has become a little wiser in his tactics and maneuvering. We definitely have to give the man and A plus for his outspokenness and honesty about the way our government is currently run and the deplorable condition its in.
He is not one to be pushed around by business adversaries, political adversaries or if elected, International adversaries. The more the American people see the legitimacy in what he believes in and what he professes, the greater his popularity is increasing.
As I have said many many good time; I would rather be in a foxhole Donald Trump then with Jeb “don’t confuse me” Bush or most of the people that are running on the Republican ticket.
The one thing that the voters should keep in mind. Donald Trump, is not politician and not running for president for monetary gain. He’s a true patriot and the loves the United States.
This article gives a preliminary preview of what Trump’s strategy is to bring back the USA to where it should be.

Is it all hot air like all of the past, present and the wannabes that are running? That is the $ 64,000.00.
The USA’s voters out of desperation made a big mistake putting Obama in the White House in 2008. He really had no credentials or background to support him running for office. He was the shot in the dark, a guy that was a tremendous teleprompter speaker, charismatic, the first black man (half black half white) to run for president and sold the American people on empty promises many of which he did or could not keep. No track record.
With Trump; he is in a unique category because he is a very successful businessman and is not a politician. He does have a track record of successes that he brings to the table, is a tremendous negotiator, can back up what he says and unlike the current president. People around the world listen to when The Donald speaks.
Aside from his somewhat overpowering personality that seems to frighten people but not the smart ones; what is the downside to his platform?????????
