It now appears that after Subway’s held its own internal investigation into the Jared the pervert case, that included a review of more than a million online comments and interviews with past and present employees and managers. They made a statement acknowledging some improprieties with their ex-spokesman and but did not act on them.
Somewhere down the line, this sicko sandwich munch-er made comments to different employees of the sub giant that he had an interest in having sex with minors.
I didn’t graduate from Harvard Law School but I would think that off color comments like that would have raised a red flag with someone in the front office and constituted immediate action. Probably not the PC thing to do.
Initially Sub-Way denied having any knowledge of the sick bastards private life activities but according to this latest revelation; someone was whispering in their ear but they were not listening.
Kristen McMahon said the company received the “serious” complaint in 2011 from former Florida journalist Rochelle Herman-Walrond, who was working with the FBI, recorded Fogle expressing interest in sex with minors. Did anyone see a problem with anything at that time???
The company’s statement said that while the complaint expressed concerns about Mr. Fogle, it included; nothing implied anything about sexual behavior or criminal activity involving Mr. Fogle. What do I have to say to that I say; give me a break!
If we see some dude standing outside of a bank with a sub-machine gun under his arm; is it the least bit logical that he has intentions of robbing the bank? You bet your ass he does.
If the company would have acted in a responsible manner when they initially received the complaints, this may have not escalated to what it did. I think Sub-Way is culpable in some manner.
Now after the fact, the company said it regrets the complaint was not properly escalated or acted upon. I bet they are, especially when they can see all of the ambulance chaser lined up outside the corporate headquarters.
No wonder the price of the subs have gone up in the last few months. They have to figure out how to cover the lawsuits.
