It is about time to down the drones

In the past year I have done 22 posts addressing the danger of drones. Now it appears that some people are waking up to the fact that these can be very dangerous toys or weapons.

Drones near airports a real danger: Aviation expert

Thursday, 20 Nov 2014 | 2:19 PM ET

These are just a few of the organizations that the light has finally gone off in their heads and recognize just how dangerous these remote controlled flying machines are.

Drones should only be allowed to be used by the law-enforcement or for military use.  Designated, isolated, open flying fields should be set up for the drone junkies that need their daily drone fix.

Needless to say; it will take a complete catastrophe for any governmental agencies to make a decision to put and end to these pesky, potentially dangerous aircraft.

I can see it all now. They will initially have to set up a committee at the cost of millions to investigate the ramifications of the problem. God forbid that banning the drones happens to piss off some PC group or the ACLU. As Nancy Grace would say; let unleash the lawyers.

After they blow a few million doing the studies at the Four Seasons Hotels, they most probably will come up with a hung jury. (No that is not a guy that is well endowed who serves on a jury).  Consequently another committee will be have to be established; only this time around a czar will be appointed. Sounds impressive. Drone Czar! Czars always have better results; so I am told.

The only real expedient resolution to the drone dilemma is; if one of our sleeping politicians kids tahat is getting married gets nailed in the head while trying to lock lips with his new bride.  Then and only then will we see some immediate action taken.

Issues like this have to hit home with a politician before they realize there is a problem.

The big boys shouldn’t be reluctant to ask the advice of the Commander and Chief – not to be confused with the Commander in Chief.

Door # 1 may have better advice or insight!!!
