U.S. commander admits mistake in bombing Afghan hospital
It is mind boggling to me that many people in the position of power in our country are so prone to lying attempting to CTA (cover their ass) it is shameful. Are they not smart enough to know that sooner than later the truth s going to come out? I guess not, they continually try to bull-shit their way through life.
A bull-shitter has to have a good memory so they can tell the same lie repeatedly but most of them don’t.
The accounts of how the hospital in Afghanistan was bombed has changes a half a dozen times since it happened.
The Pentagon changed its story on how and why the attack happened as news of the incident spread. At first, officials claimed the airstrike was called in by U.S. forces under threat while working with Afghan government troops trying to retake Kunduz from the Taliban. It was only some time later that officials said the airstrike was called in by the Afghans themselves.
Their attempted deception only exacerbates the problem a 1,000 time more than it already is. On top of it; the constant lying of our people in the top seats only gives the USA another black eye that we really don’t need.
Will unfortunate accidents happen in the time of war? Absolutely yes. The real unfortunate situation is that we are in a war in the first place.
Admit fault, do what is necessary to right the wrong and march on. At least we would have a little credibility if the right thing was done in the first place.
Like it our not; these tragic events are a very part of being at war. Should they happen? Absolutely not but unfortunately they do.
There is one sure fire way of eliminating these possibilities but that will never happen. Eliminate useless wars in the world. As long as there are war mongers, money hungry power driven bastards and lunatics in this world, there will never be an end to wars.
