This is a Nude Day and Age

Why now After all these years??

Playboy to eliminate full poses of nude photos from its magazine:

In a shocking move to either clean up their act or to minimize their high fashion porn, Playboy has decided not to use fill nude poses anymore.

Their chief executive Scott Flanders stated;  You’re now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free, It’s just passé at this juncture. He is 100% correct.

The magazine first came out in 1953 with Hugh Hefner at the helm and he certainly created a lot of commotion in the Bible Belt.

With Hef’s  extensive interviewing procedures, I am sure he was getting all of the poon tang he could handle. There were a couple of qualification that were not necessary for employment; # 1 typing 4 words a minute and # 2 having an intelligent conversation. Although I am sure many of the ladies were very bright people just looking to get noticed.

In the process of having a ball with his interviews, he created a gigantic revolution in men’s magazine industry with nude pictures of beautiful women, many of which were stars/celebs in their own right or were trying to nude their way to success. Hef was the envy of a lot of men in this world.

I will bet my last dollar the old boy had a casting couch and put it to good use. Probably went thru a few dozen in his day.

I often wondered if the old stud had stock in Viagra. He had to go through train loads of the stuff. especially in his senior years.

I remember when the magazine first came out, the nation was shocked with the provocative pictures it featured. Many of the merchants that were selling it tried to hide behind the counter or cover it to camouflage it from the general public because it was very risqué for the time.  Many times the buyers would have to ask if they carried it.

But that was in the days when there was morality and standards in this country; the nudie magazine was taboo in many people eyes.

The way I see this change of heart, with all of the promiscuity in this country, this process was done in reverse. If Playboy would have hit the shelves in this now, very few people would pay any attention. The challenge and the chase would have not been present.

How times have changed. What they show in Playboy these days; hardly raises an eyebrow with its readers.  All the viewer has to do if have the desire to see naked ladies or men and XXX rated movies is go top some porn site on their computers or click on the tube and they have all the sex and skin they would want.

Talk about the changing of times; take Dancing with Stars for instance. I have commented to many people, the only thing they are not doing on that program when they dance is getting laid.  Needless to say, this is prime time TV where all the young kids are watching.

They have a new dancer this go-round; the crocodile guy’s not so little, 16 year old daughter Bindi.  Nothing like having a 16 year old girl go through the gyrations she does with some 30 year old guy. Great education for our young ones.  I bet the crock guy would not approve!!!

bin

Some of the good parents in this country want to know why their young kids know more about sex then they do. All they have to do  watch Dancing with the Stars or some of the tasteless reality shows and they will have their answer.

For the most part, everything Playboy displayed in the magazine was within somewhat of reasonable boundaries of not being too vulgar but as the world turns, it opened the doors for hundreds of sicko’s to come out the woodwork with their nasty, over the top version of porno magazines. Now; what Playboy shows these days is nothing short of what a kid could  take to their catechism classes and show the nun.

Like anything else that may have had innocent intentions; before it is all over its limits are taken to new levels and generally not desirable ones.

Was bringing Playboy to the world in 1953 a mistake? It was bound to happen sooner than later and Hefner was its pioneer.  As time progressed or regressed whatever way you want to look at it, magazines like Playboy became a part of our culture.

Different strokes for different folks!!!
