$ 15.00 an hour or $100.00 an hour – no difference

Mostly all the business owners are bitching about having the minimum wage raised to $ 15.00 an hour.

Does anyone really think that if and when the raise takes affect that all of the merchants or business owners are not going to raise their prices to cover the increase and then add on 25% more?  It is just a number. Than they have an excuse for having to raise prices; it is the fault of the minimum wage hike

For the most part, good business owners do not lose money. They are constantly doing surveys and staying up with current times.  But because they are big it doesn’t mean they are good business people. Some of them are not the brightest star in the sky.

Take the Golden Arches for instance. They have been in trouble for quite some time. Their answer to bringing the company back around is cutting the size/quantities of their products and raising their prices. Less product and more costly; that is real rocket science. I took the burger off the bun the other day, held it up to the light and could see right through it.

Here is a corker for you. Barely a month after sending former CEO Don Thompson packing for failing to turn around years of weak sales, McDonald’s has decided to pay him 3 million dollars a year to serve as a consultant over the rest of the year. Between the $3 million consulting retainer, $27.4 million in total compensation from 2011 to 2013, and the as-yet-unknown pay package he received for 2014, Thompson likely earned something close to $40 million since taking the top job.

That makes a lot of sense to me. A company has been in trouble for years, losing tons of money; their leader should be responsible for it’s failures and their solution is to pay  him a total of 40 million dollars over a two year period. Is it because he is a black man and they were afraid of a backlash?  I say that is a possibility. All of the PC-ers will have a field-day with that one.

I sent them an email a couple of months back wanting to give them a great suggestion on how to help bring their failing business around. Their response was; we do not take suggestion for outside the company.

Now let’s put this in perspective. If a company is failing, they must be doing something wrong, NO? If that statement is accurate; it must mean that the people within the company are screwing up. Well if they do not take recommendation from outside the company, they must live and die by their foolish rules and deserve what they get.

No matter what I have done in life, I always listened to suggestions for everyone that had an opinion. Whether I used them or not was a different story. At least I was smart enough to listen. Many times they had some good advice.

The problem with many people in the top seats, they are afraid that someone is going to show them up or take their job.  They are running scared. If anyone is that insecure they should not be in the supervisory capacity.

The country could make the minimum wage $100.00 an hour and it wouldn’t matter. It is just a number.

Possibly my problem is I didn’t go to Harvard or Yale. I got my education at the school of hard knocks, Big Ben and the USMC; they were my training camps.

Let’s face it; the rich are going to get richer and the poor are going to get a lot poorer.  The people that control the purse strings of this world will make sure that it will stay that way. That is the way of the world.
