COLOSSAL WASTE’: Watchdog rips $43M US-built Afghanistan gas station:

I have said it so many time but it bears repeating. If the politicians were spending their own money instead of ours, they would be eating at the Golden Arches (that is if they are still in business) and staying at Tom Bodett’s place Motel 6.

The people that are the participants with this type of government waste should be held accountable for their poor job performance and most probably theft in office.

I can almost guarantee that there was a lot of hanky-panky going on with envelopes flying back and forth during this and other transactions in the Middle East, beside other places our government is doing business.

Kick-backs and pay-offs are a common practice in all sectors of the business world and most certainly they are alive and well in politics. Ask the guy with the hair; Rob Do you want to buy a seat Bogdanovich and people like him. His parents sure gave  him an appropriate first name.

It is common knowledge that everyone at one time or another takes a paper clip from work and no one minds; but when they start taking the desks and computers home they become hogs and greedy hogs usually get slaughtered.

This gas station has been labeled the world’s most expensive gas station. Based on similar project near it, it should have cost about 500 thousand give of take a few thousand but wound up costing 86 times that amount, coming in at a whopping 43 million USA dollars.

An investigation into allegations of criminal activity within the DOD’s premiere program has been launched. This station is just one of the many programs that the political suckers in the USA initiated to help kick-start the Afghan economy. What the hell is the matter kick-starting the USA economy? Has anyone one of the high flyers looked at the condition of our country lately.

Who is going to take the rap for this one? I can bet it is not someone at the top. The general always sits on top of the hill on his trusty steed and yells, CHARGE but never leaves that safe location.

I always like to ask stupid questions to see if I can get a stupid answer. Who the hell was watching the store? All of the expenditures didn’t happen all at once. There had to be or should have been some one keep an eye on the books.

If I were a betting man I would say that there is a long line of different FOLKS that had their dirty little hands in this pie.

The benevolent (in this case means stupid) officials in the DOD (department of defense) set up an 800 million dollar plan to reconstruct what we destroyed in the process of getting a good beating in Afghanistan. That is what the USA does; first we blow stuff up and then we rebuild it.  It is like a kids video game. Blow it up – rebuild it.

Does anyone every wonder who or what companies it is that does the reconstruction? This is a good article to read that gives us a little insight on where the big money goes. LBJ is just one example of the collusion and corruption that goes on in our country that has been going on for a very long time.

After reading articles; how are we supposed to trust anyone in government?  It is like Mexico. When you get robbed there, you can’t go to the police to report it because they are the ones that probably robbed you.

Now all of a sudden since the 800 million dollar reconstruction program ran its course, no one, yes no one has any recollection of where and how the money was spent. Does that surprise you?

What they usually do in the government when the shit is getting ready to hit the fan, they promote and reassign the culprits and try to hide them.

According to the investigators looking into this fiasco, the DOD Task Force spent $42,718,739 between 2011 and 2014 to “fund the construction and to supervise the initial operation of the CNG station,” with approximately $12.3 million going into direct costs and $30 million in overhead costs.” 

30 million is the important number, overhead costs. That means that it has been lost/stolen and has not been accounted for. Same thing as the General Fund in the government; can not be accounted for.

It isn’t bad enough that our country is in such dire financial straits meeting our every day’s normal expenses but we feel compelled to go to war, where we don’t belong in the first place; bomb the shit out of the country and then rebuild it.

OK ; let’s say that is our SOP (standard operational procedure) but then we entrust a den of thieves to watch over the projects and they steal the country blind rebuilding what we just blew up. When there is an investigation launched, all of a sudden everyone connected to the project has come down with Alzheimer’s. Most of the time the authorities prolong the criminal proceedings so long that it is eventually forgotten about.

This is one observation from one of the big wigs looking into the theft; “Frankly, I find it both shocking and incredible that DOD asserts that it no longer has any knowledge about TFBSO, an $800 million program that reported directly to the Office of the Secretary of Defense and only shut down a little over six months ago,” Sopko wrote. “Nevertheless, I intend to continue our inquiry.”

Am I missing something or should there be documentation of who was in charge of that and every-other government project the government does? That is where the injury should start, with the person in charge. Inquiry is the PC term for investigation. They don’t want to be too harsh; they may upset someones day.

There is one 14 letter word that has been deleted from all dictionaries in DC; accountability.

I used to say; if they took all of the hypocrites out of church on Sunday mornings, the pews would be empty. In the same token; if they removed all of the thieves and crooked politicians and their cronies in this country from public office, there would be trillions of square feet office space available.

What other country in this world operates with such incompetence as the USA squandering money like there is no tomorrow?

I am anxious to see just how far this joke/inquiry goes before it is swept under the rug.

Don’t keep the light on for them Tom; they have billions left to squander. They will be staying at Four Seasons for the duration. When they are running short, they just print some-more.
