Eighth graders asked to write about booze, herpes and one-night stands:
One of the schools of lower-learning, the Myron L. Powell Elementary School in New Jersey; some nit-wit teacher (name withheld because of their stupidity) gave their student an assignment to write a paper on booze, herpes and one-night stands.
Hey Teach; let the kids grow up on their own. They will learn all about the birds, the bees and that other nonsense in the playground or behind someones garage, without you prompting them. Giving an assignment like that in an elementary school makes me question the sanity or capability of this teacher.
Here’s the verbatim assignment:
“You had a really rotten day, but lucky for you your best friend is having an awesome party later. You go to the party and start drinking. You have a little too much to drink and start talking to this girl/guy you’ve never seen before. You head upstairs to better acquainted despite several friends telling you that you don’t even know this person. You end up having sex with this person. The next day you really can’t remember everything that happened and rely on your best friend to fill you in. A week later you find out that you contracted herpes from your one night stand and that this is a disease you will have all your life and never known when an outbreak will occur.”
Just for the sake of conversation; the word acquainted is miss used, it should be acquaint. Brilliant teacher.
In this day and age when kids are being sent home and suspended for wearing a patriotic shirt – American flags are being taken down – not able to recite the national anthem – prayers are forbidden in the class room and on the football field – mascots names are changed because of some PC idiots – kids are getting suspended for hugging another student which has become a gesture of friendship (by the way, the Italian people were doing that 500 years ago as a sign of friendship and respect); I would think that is totally uncalled for by some supposedly educated person that call themselves teachers.
A concerned mother (not many of them these days) called the school to complain and naturally did not get any satisfaction.
Incidents like this are all tied into what some pea brain people orchestrate in the PC/reformers culture in some shape or form.
For 100’s of years our country and civilization advanced in a positive direction. Not so in the last 30 years or so, it has gone backwards in the morality and educational departments.
For some teacher to give 8th graders an assignment like that makes me wonder if they were not getting some personal satisfaction by reading what the kids submitted. You know, in a room by themselves with the door locked!!
The mother of a student that called the school to express her concerns over the ridiculous assignment still has not received a call back or any satisfactory answer. Does not surprise me.
